Chronic - your body telling you to reflect on your technique, lifestyle, workload


What are the current research findings?


Acrobatic Performer's area of injuries (Shrier and Hallé 2011, Stubbe et al. 2018)

  1. Spine

  2. Ankle

  3. Shoulder

Phases of rehab after an injury ...

Acute Phase (1 - 7 Days)

Goal: Minimize inflammation and pain.

Subacute Phase (Day 3 - < 3 Weeks)

Goal: Prevent muscle atrophy

Remodelling Phase: ( 1 - 6 Weeks) /Functional Phase: (2 Weeks - 6 Months)

Goal: Avoid a re-injury

Return to Competition Phase: (3 Weeks to 6 Months)

Goal: Return to performing without re-injury
